This past year, LeBron James has openly admitted multiple times that he will do anything to play on the same team with his son Bronny, even if that means leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the latest episode of The Shop, James revealed the motivating factor that drives his son to want to play in the NBA. Although Bronny isn’t draft-eligible until 2024, there is little doubt in anyone’s minds that a franchise will pick him just to get his father on the squad.
“Not too long ago, I said… I asked him, I said, ‘What do you want to do with this? Like you want to get to the pros? What do you want to do?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘Cause I want to make a name for myself,'” James explained. “And when I heard that, I was like… I said, ‘Well, let’s f–king get it.
“By the way, he changed his name to Bronny. I didn’t. Yeah, I made him a Junior. But he Bronny. And he Bronny to the world.”
Bronny James mixtape
Bronny is currently playing for an AAU team and his official Ballislife mixtape volume 3 just dropped on Friday. His jumper is a lot smoother than his father’s and is displaying spurts of freak athleticism.
During the episode of The Shop, King James also explained that besides playing with his son, he would love to play alongside Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry. When it comes to NBA stars from the past, his dream duo would be with Scottie Pippen.
