Bianca Belair reflects on her experiences being able to work a long-term storyline with Becky Lynch.
Bianca Belair was able to work a lengthy storyline with Becky Lynch from SummerSlam to WrestleMania 38, which was a brilliant growing opportunity for her.
When Lynch returned to WWE and took the Raw Women’s Title from the EST in a squash match at SummerSlam, there was a lot of cause for concern amongst fans. However, that turned out to be the start of an elaborate and detailed storyline that would string along until WrestleMania 38.
The two women got the chance to compete for the gold on The Grandest Stage Of Them All, and they ended up having one of the best matches of the weekend, and of Belair’s career. It was the culmination their brilliant feud that is one of the most in depth the company has done in recent years.
It allowed Belair to shine as one of WWE’s top babyfaces, putting her in a huge spotlight as Becky did everything in her power to get the former NXT star over as a talent.
Bianca Belair Believes She Grew Tremendously
The EST of WWE recently spoke with Lucas Charpiot of VL Media about her experiences as of late and how she has been able to grow as a performer in recent times since working with Lynch in their lengthy storyline.
“At SummerSlam, people thought Becky Lynch killed my momentum. It was a hard pill to swallow, even for me. But in the end, working with Becky Lynch allowed me to grow tremendously as a talent at WWE,” she said. “I learned a lot from her in the ring, but also outside the ring. She is a huge advocate for women’s wrestling so that it stays at the top of the map. I’m grateful to have had the chance, not only to face her, but also to have been able to tell this long story that concluded at WrestleMania.” (H/T to Fightful)
Since WrestleMania 38 Belair has remained the Raw Women’s Champion, and she is currently set to defend the title against Asuka at the Hell In A Cell premium live event.
