It’s been a long road to recovery for McGregor after his awful injury suffered in his clash with Dustin Poirier last July. However, Notorious could have his eyes set on his next opponent already.
The Irish born star has been embroiled in a war of words on social media with Jorge Masvidal after the latter accused McGregor of using steroids.
He threw kicks at a punching bag before finishing the session and celebrating his achievements, shouting ‘waaahooooohooooo’ afterwards.

UFC fans on social media were loving seeing McGregor trying to get back to his best, with plenty replying to the video. One fan said: “This is going to be the greatest return to the sport anyone’s ever seen.”
While others went on: “Daddy’s almost home.”
“The king is back.”
“11 months on from breaking his ankle n he’s kicking already, guy’s a different breed of animal.”
“Feels weird seeing the left leg back in full force. The recovery has been amazing. Can’t f*cking wait for his return. Late 2022 or early 2023 should be the goal here. Let’s go!”
“Conor is going to take over, he will kill anyone in his way.”
In terms of form, he clearly would struggle to get a big fight with his injury lay off, however, he is huge in UFC, one of the biggest names the sport has had, so he certainly could have his pick!
There’s no doubting that a return to the Octagon for McGregor will be huge for the sport, to have one of the big names on the medical table for over a year is never ideal.
Recently, McGregor underwent a CT scan which he clearly got the all clear from as he prepares to step foot in the Octagon once again.
He’s not on a great run though, he lost three of his last four fights and it will be tough to get that momentum going to reverse that poor run after such a lengthy lay off.
